カワヅザクラ（河津桜）

　河津桜とは静岡県賀茂郡河津町にて毎年２月上旬から咲き始め３月上旬までの約１ヶ月に渡り咲く早咲きの桜です。花が大きくピンク色なのが特徴のこの桜は本州でも早咲きの種類に分類され開花の過程も楽しめます。花はカンヒザクラとオオシマザクラの自然交配と考えられてます。ここ河津町では昭和５０年４月に河津町の木として認定されており毎年２月上旬より約１ヶ月間”河津桜まつり”を開催　多くのお花見客で賑わいます。

Kawazu cherry blossoms are cherry blossoms that bloom for about 1 month from the beginning of February every year in Kawazu town in Kamo gun, Shizuoka prefecture, until the beginning of March. This cherry blossoms characterized by large flowers and pink color are classified as early-bloom type in Honshu and enjoy the flowering process as well. Flowers are thought to be natural matings of Kanhisakura and Oshimazakura. Here in Kawazu town was approved as a tree of Kawazu town in April 1950 and holding "Kawazu cherry blossom festival" for about 1 month from early February every year It is crowded with many cherry-blossom viewers.
